Caps

New for Utopia

Put together by a number of regional partners, the Cap trails are festive walks offering the public a chance to discover artists – musicians, comedians and visual artists – and to explore new locations in the countryside, in a forest, on a beach, in a park or in a neighbourhood.  

Firstly, the idea is to move together and discover an itinerary and a little or unknown landscape along the way. Then, and above all, the aim is to be surprised by artistic presentations scattered along the way, for a weekend or for the whole of the Cap trail, accompanying the walking spectators from beginning to end of the route. 

These Capes could give rise to experiments in links between cities and the countryside or the coast, allowing residents, and especially families, to discover remarkable sites and to be transported by the nature that surrounds them. 

To feed them, we can imagine combining several devices present in Utopia’s programming: the huts, the bioluminescent night, participative projects for children, nature awareness, musical projects, plastic or landscape installations, performances… 

In their preparation, starting this fall, these Caps will give rise to workshops (supervised by artists) for children (and their parents) with schools, neighbourhood structures and associations that will allow to build together the highlight of a neighbourhood or a town.
